INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR 2014/2015 ADMISSIONS

The College is the leading institution in providing professional and technical training, research and consultancy services in African wildlife and tourism management. It was established in 1963 and has been registered by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), Tanzania and recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the East African Community (EAC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The College is hereby inviting applications from qualified Tanzanian and Non-Tanzanian candidates for the following programmes:

Technician Certificate in Tourism Hunting
EITHER; an Ordinary Level Secondary Certificate (or equivalent) with five (5) passes including at least two (2) credits in Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and English;
OR
A Basic Certificate in Wildlife Management from Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute or other  training institutions accredited by NACTE or VETA;
OR
A Basic Certificate in Wildlife and Tourism Management from Mweka
One (1) year

Technician Certificate in Wildlife Management
EITHER an Ordinary Level Secondary Certificate (or equivalent) five (5) pass including at least two (2) credits in science subjects in Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and English;
OR
A Basic Certificate in Wildlife Management from Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute or other  training institutions accredited by NACTE or VETA;
OR
A Basic Certificate in Wildlife and Tourism Management from Mweka

Technician Certificate in Wildlife Tourism
EITHER Ordinary Level Secondary Certificate (or equivalent) with at five (5) passes including at least two (2) credits in Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography and English;
OR
A Basic Certificate in Wildlife Management from Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute or other  training institutions accredited by NACTE or VETA;
OR
A Basic Certificate in Wildlife and Tourism Management from Mweka

Ordinary Diploma in Wildlife Management
EITHER an Advanced Level Secondary Certificate (or equivalent) with at least one (1) principal pass and two (2) subsidiaries in Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Agriculture and Nutrition;
OR
A Technician Certificate from Mweka or Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute or other recognized Natural Resources training institutions

Ordinary Diploma in Wildlife Tourism
EITHER an Advanced Level Secondary Certificate (or equivalent) with at least one (1) Principal pass and two (2) subsidiaries in either Biology, Chemistry, Geography, English, History, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Agriculture and Nutrition;
OR
A Technician Certificate from Mweka or Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute or other recognized Natural Resources training institutions

Postgraduate Diploma in Wildlife Management
A recognized University undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences or Social Science subjects AND at least one year of work experience in wildlife management or a related field

A recognized University undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences or Social Science subjects AND at least one year of work experience in wildlife management or a related field

A recognized University undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences or Social Science subjects AND at least one year of work experience in wildlife management or a related field

Bachelor Degree in Wildlife Management
EITHER Advanced Level Secondary Certificate with at least two (2) principal passes in Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Nutrition and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate point of 3.5

                                              OR
A relevant Ordinary Diploma with at least Second Class in Wildlife Management, Wildlife Tourism, Fisheries, agriculture, livestock, Forestry and Bee keeping Or related discipline from institutions recognized by NACTE
 Three (3) years

Bachelor Degree in Wildlife Tourism
EITHER Advanced Level Secondary Certificate with at least two (2) principal passes in Biology, Geography, History, English, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Nutrition, Economics and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate point of 3.5
A relevant Ordinary Diploma with at least Second Class in Wildlife Management, Wildlife Tourism, Fisheries, agriculture, livestock, Forestry and Bee keeping Or related discipline from institutions recognized by NACTE

MODE OF APPLICATION
Application forms are available at Mweka Campus-Moshi or can be downloaded at www.mwekawildlife.org. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of T.Shs 20,000 or USD 15 should be made directly to the College Bank Account at  NBC Ltd, Moshi branch, Account No 017105002480; Swift Code: NLCBTZTX for foreign currency payment  OR  Account  No. 01J1039905500 at CRDB Bank Ltd Moshi Branch  for payments made in equivalent Tanzanian Shillings. All Advanced Level Secondary Certificate, Diploma holders and their equivalences will apply for admission into Bachelor degree courses through Central Admission System (CAS).
